About
I earned my clinical doctorate in physical therapy in 2003 from the University of Minnesota. I've had additional training in manual therapy, muscle energy technique, Movement System Impairment Syndromes, pelvic/core stabilization and pilates.
Teaching
I attended yoga teacher training at SunMoon Yoga Studio, and was certified through Yoga Alliance (RYT-200) in 2006. I taught regular classes and workshops, along with anatomy training for Heartwork Yoga Teacher Training School until 2020. I have lectured on posture, movement and yoga for local groups, high schools and St. Olaf College.
When the pandemic came, my classes moved to Zoom, and this different way of teaching became a way to reach more people with movement education. Sign up for a class or private session.
Physical Therapy
I work as a physical therapist at Northfield Physical Therapy, an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Northfield, MN.
Research publications include Clinical Measurement of Posterior Shoulder Flexibility. Manual Therapy. Nov 2007; 12: 386-389.
Outside Interests
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my husband Michael, my children Bella and Nilo, and my little dog Paprika. We all love to explore, climb, bike and picnic. Other favorites include strength training, family mud runs, reading novels and experimenting with Paleo recipes...especially when everyone eats them.
